About Butyl Acrylate
Butyl acrylate an organic compound, is the butyl ester of acrylic acid. It appears as a clear colorless liquid with a sharp characteristic odor. It can be produced by the acid-catalyzed esterification acrylic acid with butanol.
Butyl acrylate is primarily used in the production of homopolymers and co-polymers for use in water based industrial and architectural paints. It is used as a raw material for fiber processing agents, adhesives, coatings, plastics, acrylic rubber, and emulsions.
