About Formic Acid
Formic Acid also called methanoic acid is a colourless, fuming liquid that is miscible with water. It is the simplest carboxylic acid, containing a single carbon.
A major use of formic acid is as a preservative and antibacterial agent in livestock feed. It is used in the production of leather, and in dyeing and finishing textiles
