2-Ethylhexyl acrylate is the ester of acrylic acid and 2-ethyl hexanol. 2-Ethylhexyl acrylate and butyl acrylate are the major base monomers for the preparation of acrylate adhesives. It is used as a raw material to make adhesives, coatings, construction materials, acrylic rubber, and emulsions.
