About Mineral Turpentine Oil
Mineral turpentine oil - MTO is distilled from petroleum which is a clear liquid with Kerosene like odour and is insoluble in water. The Mineral Turpentine Oil is manufactured by making use of volatile fraction obtained from petroleum.
MTO is used for manufacturing varnish, thinner and wood primers and is also used for manufacturing metal pretreatment chemicals and liquid shoe polish. It is used as a solvent for wax, rubber and resins in the manufacture of electrical insulating compounds.
